I'm Taira, creator of Patient Breath Wellness, your relatable, sometimes-deep, sometimes-silly, feminine somatic coach. I am in the process of (yet another) transformation and working on developing this space into something new to further support women seeking a joyful, soulful, and embodied life in line with God's design. You can expect more musings in the form of blog posts, sometimes that leave you with more questions than answers - which is usually when the Spirit will come in - don't be surprised if you have some "aha" moments days after reading.

My focus has been on somatic, whole-body healing for years, and I have softly, intentionally, been honing in on what that looks like in the context of femininity and queenship. God has been calling me deeper into what that means, even for me as a coach, and so this space is evolving to reflect that. 

 

So for the woman that has been abandoning her body, her womb, her wisdom, her inner world - and is ready to give that up, for the woman that is longing to be close to God's heart and to be saturated with the Holy Spirit, welcome. â€‹

Who this space is for

You are a deep-feeling woman that knows there must be more than this surface-level healing. You are longing for something in the depths of your soul, a connection and wholeness you may have even doubted is real. You've tried all the supplements, diets, scheduling hacks, and still, you are feeling drained, overwhelmed, or perhaps even bored. You are tired of doing things in a way that just don't feel right, and have an inkling that it's because you've been operating outside of your God-given feminine nature. Your heart's desire is living in a way that doesn't deplete you. You are wondering if healing and fulfillment comes from less, rather than more. You are ready to abandon scarcity and fear-based health and spiritual advice, and instead come home to your inner wisdom, the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you. You are done pushing and striving. You are surrendering to the rhythmic dance of what it means to be an embodied woman.  

what is somatic experiencing and embodied living?

It's not as "woo woo" as it sounds! Soma is the Greek word for “body.” Somatic exercises bring awareness to your internal sensations, as opposed to cognitive experiences. You may have heard the terms “somatic exercises,” “somatic therapy,” or “somatic experiencing,” which are often used interchangeably. The goal is the same: to regulate the stress response through bottom-up processing. I like to take this a step further for my clients: I want you to have a somatic, embodied life. Building a resilient nervous system is important, but so is living a life full of curiosity and gratitude… one where you feel the beauty in your body every day. My hope is that you come to a deep trusting of God’s design in your body, mind, and spirit.
